Popular Post johnnie20110
Regarding the incident, Mr. Anusorn Eiamsa-ard, deputy spokesmen of Phue Thai party, urged the vocational education institution to carefully advise their student about the protest, and take responsibility in guiding their students to express political preferences in the "appropriate way". In other words, the Pheu Thai spokesman is saying don't follow the Pheu Thai example of not taking responsibility for guiding its violent red shirts to follow more "appropriate ways to express their political preferences." Not surprising, given that "Anusorn Eiamsa-ard, deputy spokesmen of Phue Thai party" is a red shirt Violence by any faction is to be condemned. The same goes for the staggering hypocrisy of Anusorn. Popular Post Robby nz
So they were there creating a disturbance and trying to make trouble at an anti govt rally. Yes they were, there are photos on other media of them doing just that. And they got chased away. And held up by a red light, how appropriate. Unfortunately an elderly lady was hurt, but then if the brave leaders had been protecting her that wouldn't have happened. "We will fight till the last drop of blood", remember that, as long as it is someone else's blood.
Popular Post NongKhaiKid
What goes around comes around. The hunters are now becoming the hunted. This sort of thing is what makes Thai politics the sick joke that it is. Since PTP won the election the reds have made it clear they can, and will, do exactly what they want be it disrupting other parties rallies to ordering the " capture " of constitutional judges BUT if anyone dares to respond against them ! I'm sure the BIB will exercise due diligence to try and identify the students involved as that's what is wanted from on high.
Popular Post tonytigerbkk
I’m not sure if I understand this correctly. From what I can gather the protest was against Thaksin’s Regime and therefore against the red shirts. The red shirt supporters turned up at the protest against their favourite dictator wearing People’s Radio for Democracy and red shirts, thereby identifying who they were. My confusion is what were the red shirts doing there if not to stir up trouble? Did they really believe that they would be greeted with open arms or did they know that being there would cause trouble and then blame it on the protestors? These are not your typical Isaarn red shirts, these are middle to upper management of the movement. Their actions in order to instigate a response was planned. Can the Thai press not see through this game that the red shirts are playing?

Popular Post Nickymaster
What goes around comes around. The hunters are now becoming the hunted. Indeed. The Red shirts have been rewarded for their violence. They tried to burn Bangkok to the ground, destroyed peoples property, intimidated people and received up to 7.5 million THB.

They are crying because they know the (Thaksin) police is on their side. Wouldn't surprise me if Tharit from the DSI is going to look into this. (seriously). HoudiniXLogic
Strange times indeed, for once I actually cheer for the vocational students lol. How ironic would it be if all the vocational schools joined forces against the red-shirts. 2013's a strange time indeed.

Popular Post monkeycountry
I thought most red shirts supported violent attacks against their political opponents whenever these opponents dare set foot in areas not in their control?
robblok
Just as wrong as what the reds were doing, I am pro democrat and anti red but there is no reason to act like this. I do feel however there are 2 standards they don't seem to go after red shirts doing the same and even say that democrats should not protests because they cant protect them. Still both parties need to grow up but this country thugs rule and they have seen it before and are copying it.
Popular Post GeorgeO
I would have no problem with this if we saw some semblance of consistency from the RTP. When the red shirts pelted anti-government protestors with nuts, bolts, stones, etc., the response was that the incident would not have happened if the protesters had not turned up to protest at a red shirt rally. We have heard of no action by the RTP to seek those responsible for causing injuries in that particular case. So here we have an incident which exactly mirrors the earlier anti-government incident, and we find that the RTP is to unleash its full resources to bring the perpetrators to justice. That really does show them in their true light...! This is a dangerous position for a police force to take up, since it gives one half of society nowhere to turn, with the one exception of covert, undercover action against the 'authorities'. As I have said on many occasions before, unless this police force is disbanded and they start again, from scratch, recruiting honourable and honest people to form the new police force of Thailand, then the downward slide will continue. How can Thailand expect to see social development under a scenario where certain sectors of society can do just what they want with impunity?

But the Red shirts (dressed in red) could have easily avoided passing by the Anti Thaksin protest site.

Popular Post slapout
The whole red shirt movement is the brain child of the same man/family that has seen failure in the rest of the populist ideas, they have promoted, which to date are proving to be total failures. If the long term planning for support, replacement , new recruits, etc are not provided, failure in the end is most probable. The red shirts are in many ways simlar to the present government, the leaders are inexperienced in their assigned position, self serving in their quest for fame/reward, incompentant for the assigned task, and refuse to entertain ideas from those who are better qualified in being objective in monitoring progress or lack thereof. This government seems to be like a 6 lug nut wheel, they have lost about half of the nuts, another is loose and the two remaining tight ones are too close together to be keep the wheel from om the vehicle.
