Phuket BMW driver caught with 10,000 Xanax pills

Featured Replies

I was prescribed them myself, several years ago when my wife and daughter were killed in a car accident. Several months later i realised what these pills were doing to me and i flushed the lot down the toilet, i must admit, i went through hell coming off them. I give respect to any one that can stop using them, i know how difficult it is.

Might be forlorn thinking, but I hope these drugs are destroyed. The benzodiazepine class of drugs - pure evil. Withdrawing from them is one nasty experience. (sorry to move off topic a little - these drugs are my pet hate)

well it took the air force 8 years to diagnose my post traumatic stress disorder. Xanax was my cure. if I do not take it I would be shut up in my bedroom afraid to experience the world. you have to think of a persons quality of life before making a blanket statement like that

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Xantax never "cured" anyone of anything but makes addicts of many.

The "cure" for PTSD is based on Cognitive behavioural therapy and similar.

Whilst some medication may play a part Xantax has absolutely no role to play.

Wow, never knew they were addictive. I used to buy Valium here for about 4 baht a tablet in quantity. I used off and on

but never had any trouble stopping. I must admit I was self prescribing. Flights, jet lag, reset my circadian rhythm after

to long a period stay up far to late for a period of time. Seems a shame to ban it after some highly publicized date rapes.

I don't think it's been banned as such. Now it's just a controlled prescription only medication. Prior to the 'ban' I was told it was perfectly legal to buy it over the counter.

Wouldn't this be great if you had any knowledge of Xanax. What, did you have a wife that used these to put up with a bad marriage. These are widely available from any Dr. in the US, and successfully helps many people through small bouts of depression. Thailand was wrong to make them illegal as a "date rape drug". What hogwash. Were you on the committee to ban them? If you had trouble getting off of them, you are certainly easily addictive, and misused these pills to the max. Deal with your own addictions, but don't assume everyone is an addict like yourself.

Go ahead and blind me with science, genius. Start with pointing out the difference between a drug of addiction and a drug of dependency. I took 1mg a day for 3 years, then went cold turkey accidentally. The result was 2 brain seizures and several months barely able to get out of bed. Yes, I do have some knowledge of Xanax. But rather than me telling you that you are an idiot, I suggest you google Prof Heather Ashton.
