Scotch Bonnet Chillies

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone know anywhere that these are being sold fresh? I have looked in Bangkok around the Pattunam areas where they seem to get more Africans but no luck there so just wondered if anyone else had seen any being sold. Yes, I know that Thailand has a lot of chillies but the scotch bonnet chillies give a very different taste when using these to cook with, not just giving heat but actually adding flavor too.

Thanks for any help,

Falcon

You could always grow them yourself. I grow habanero and jalapenos.

I've got a mate growing a Jokhla (Ghost) Chilli plant at the moment not sure if I will be brave enough to actually nibble on a piece when ready though !

Hello All, I thought somebody one time mention that they

saw habs for sale at Villa Soi 33 one time.

Next time post on the Western Food Forum, might get a

better response.

Never seen scotch bonnets in Thailand but I'm guessing one of the Tesco, TOPS, Foodland etc outlets may have some. Incidentally I made a chilli today using scotch bonnets, it was marvellous. Edited, just thinking about it I've seen Encona in Foodland which may be suitable for some scotch bonnet requirements.
