If this is an international hotel chain I am sure they would respond very quickly to a letter sent to their head office overseas mentioning that if that is the way the chain approves of treating its workers overseas they do not need to address the matter in a week because after that the press overseas would be informed.

My misses worked at a hotel and they used to dock the pay of who ever was a check in if the till come up short.

Conundrum - honest staff trying to do the right thing but getting shafted by guests trying to scam the system.

Eg. Guests Asking to reserve or extend stays and settle account on check out. Guest do a runner, so staff are penalized and have there pay docked for cost that is incurred for room not paid for . Needless to say I told her to get the F$*€k out of there.

I made a few suggestions on how to solve the problem but as a previous post mentioned , don't be the ferang who know all and can solve the problem.

Found a better hotel (international) and life was easier lol.

It happens but I think depends on who, what and where.
