You saying, that a cocktail of Vitamin B supplements suppressed migraines makes me wonder, if you actually have the MTHFR mutation (around 20% of the populace do). It makes it harder for your body to process folate; supplementation with methylized forms of folate (5-MTHF) and B12 (Methylcobalamin) often help, but if you take too much, they can lead up to a level of homocysteine in the blood leading to blood vessel dilation, meaning migraines. An easy way to counteract that is Trimethylglycine to lower this overshoot of homocysteine. There are foods that are rich in this, so if your migraines got better when eating spinach or shellfish, that would lead you in this direction. As you cannot start chucking down oysters anytime you have a migraine, you can buy Trimethylglycine as a very cheap supplement (careful, this is Betaine TMG, not 'just' Betaine). Why do I know this? I have the MTHFR mutation, but good luck and no migraines. When having a migraine, drink at least half a liter with some rock salt added (or just salt, I do not prefer sea salt because of microplastics), maybe you are just dehydrated a bit, or both reasons come together.
