Should I make a merit now, or am I innocent? Wi Fi crime....

Hello all computer experts and expats,

I've got a house on campus of a school, where I'm living from Monday to Friday, as I'm working in another province. Well, I always got a signal from a nearby hotel, couldn't financially afford it to install internet and then finally needed to go online later at night.....

So I packed my notebook, went to the hotel in the evening, sat down and asked for the Wi Fi code. They gave it to me and since then I've got free Internet. Since then I've got it even in my house, couldn't believe what a difference an antenna makes.

But that's not all. I wanted to "use" websites" that were blocked by the hotel. So accidentally, I found a program that makes me invisible, changing my IP address to one from a Viking, or so country.

I'm always watching the newest movies now, found all software I needed and feel a sort of guilty. Should I go and make a merit now?

P.S. The next temple is right across the street.

Does the hotel have a bar/cafe/restaurant ? If so maybe become a regular customer. As the hotel has a password assigned then you probably shouldn't use it if you are not a patron, but then again they should really be changing this password often to stop the kind of thing you are experiencing happening.

If you're using the Wifi for mails and internet browsing that's fine, I guess.

But if you're watching videos, downloading lot of stuff and torrenting (P2P) then you are a big criminal because all the hotel customers, who are here on holiday, and pay for the hotel which includes internet access but can't even read their emails or upload their holiday pictures on Facebook because YOU little bastard are throttling the little bandwidth available with your extended usage...

I suggest the admins to get his IP (which will be the one of the hotel) and provide it to the police, so they can get the address of the hotel (by contacting the ISP assigned to this IP) and then alert the hotel about this and eventually track him down via some advanced wifi localisation tools or by watching the video cameras etc. so they CAN PUT THIS GUY IN JAIL!

Because people like you the internet is always too slow in hotels whenever I travel!
