Issan Music

I really like Issan music. I especially like it when an Issan song is played and all the girls remember their home and become very happy.

I want to find a good compliation of Issan songs/music. I don't know the names of any singers or bands. I would like to show it to the street vendor and have them give me the music.

One gendre of this music that i like is a sort of blend of Issan music and techno. I particularly would like to get hold of some of that music, too.

In Brazil, people are spontaneously dancing and playing music all the time. It is wonderful to be there. Does that happen in the regions in Thailand, too?

Siriporn Ampaipong(Nok Noi) is my favourite. Jintara Poonlarb is also very good.

I love the songs that they play in the Bangkok Issaan karaoke places - the songs all have the following words in them "toe ra man"(torture), "kee thowt" (miss),lao khoa(rice whisky) and "kee mao"(drunk).

BTW Carabao are not from Issarn, but my favourite Thai band.
