couple of photos for Crossy.

Hi Crossy,

on a very old thread, I was asking about RCDs in the village house, and you asked me to provide a photo.

Took a long time, but when I went back last time I took a photo, and here it is. Is the green box an RCD? I'm also puzzled by the grey box with the big red button.

BTW, the red 10 amp circuit breaker was the sole breaker in the house and everything came off it.

Thought you might like the electric wire "join"!

I also put a couple of photos of the water pump on the thread about water pump problems that you asked for.

Thanks for your help.

Hi TBL, gotta love the not-got-an-outlet bodge, seen that several times here in India too sad.png

Anyway, to answer your queries:

The big green box is a whole-house RCBO, similar to the ubiquitous Safe-T-Cut, seems to be set to one of the <30 mA ranges :)

The grey box with the red and black buttons is a magnetic circuit breaker, probably the main incoming breaker before the Safe-T-Cut was installed.

I'm assuming that the meter is a 5/15.

Yes, 5/15.

OK, they probably just left the grey box on after they installed the green one.

At one time there was a Safe T Cut RCD, the green one and the grey one all on the incoming line.

However, the Safe T Cut came with me to the present house.

Thanks.
