That is how Mountain Dew in America tasted too. I have never liked it.

No, it's not. Mt. Dew in Thailand is not the same at all. I don't like it. The aftertaste is nasty. This actually spells the end of Mt. Dew in Thailand, not the beginning. Villa Market will certainly stop importing the real stuff now that this impostor is available. It's the same as Mt Dew in Malaysia. Thai and Malay Mt. Dew tastes a little like the purple "Voltage" Mt. Dew available back home and occasionally imported by Villa Market here.

Makro is now also selling Mountain Dew. And yes, it has a strange taste and to me tastes nothing like I remember from my trips to the U.S.

Interesting that Froot Loops are on that list of products using BVO, as that is another example of a product that is very different in Thailand. It tastes horrible here.
