Walked along the beach this morning (1st Oct). A couple of trees down and a number of beach concessionaires unable to set up their chairs because of severe erosion to the beach. Especially in those places where steps led down to the beach, those acted as conduits for the water and turned them into waterfalls.

I think these two photos were from earlier flooding, but they still show how the stairs carried the water down to the beach and caused erosion. Yesterday when we came out of the parking at Central Festival and headed north on Beach Rd, the water was definitely up to hub cap level in that area, but the road was almost dry further south near to Pattaya Tai.

Did you mean "headed south on Beach Rd"? Beach Road is usually one-way southbound. wink.png

They have got a solution for the beach road flooding, I kid you not this guy in the bobcat was trying to scoop up the water in his bucket !post-155902-1381053488309_thumb.jpg

But to be fair it was raining that hard even the jet ski guys were carrying umbrellas post-155902-13810535823155_thumb.jpg

Any truth in the rumour that some bright spark (allegedly from city hall) had put sandbags between Beach Rd and the beach?

Another theory was it was the deck chair people trying to protect their piece of beach.
