Auto follow topics I reply to is checked, but not working

Under "Notification Options" in Settings I have the "auto follow topics I reply to" box checked, but auto following is not working and I have to set it manually whenever I read a thread.

This has been going on for nearly a month now.

Hi tropo ... I had the same issue, but maybe for a different reason.

Apparently, if there is no comment on a thread that you have marked in your "auto follow topics I reply to" for a period, the option automatically drops off.

So, if no-one comments for say a month, your notification drops off.

Not saying that's the answer to your issue, but my recollection of the reply I got here.
