Best Short Trip Destination OUTSIDE Thailand

Featured Replies

Hola

I need to do a border run but also need a little holiday after 6 months in BKK. I was thinking I might go somewhere for a week.

Where do you folks recommend? The most obvious choice for me is to go to Laos.

I'd like it to be a low-budget trip so no flights to Japan or anything.

Thanks na!

i like going to Singapore for a few days or HK to clear my head of Thailand

but seeing as your looking for cheap...one suspects Cambodia might suit you better

Yeah maybe, it's a place I wanna see so could do that.

Thanks.

Anghor Wat, Phenom Phen, Hanoi (Vietnam you may need visa from embassy before you leave)

Possible to apply for a visa for Vietnam on line, I have done it twice.

Siem Reap is very westernised so on top of the "must see Angkor Wat" thing, there is a feeling of stepping out of Asia.

Take a flight to Medan, Indonesia. From there take a land trip to lake toba, it's the crater of a very large old volcano , the size of the lake is much bigger then Singapore, the environment is something like Baguio in the Philippines , cooling and very relaxing, cheap also. Plenty of cheap hotels. Give it a try, something different.
