Driving to Phuket from Chaiyaphum, any goverment flood highway maps

Featured Replies

Was planning of leaving in two days, first stop Hua Hin, we are having beautiful weather up here with no rain in our forecast for the next week . I couldn't find any websites for showing what roads are impassable as the last thing I would want to do is take the chance of driving thru a flooded highway with a fully loaded car.

Anyone here have had any luck getting highway updates, as I know if I could speak Thai I would ask the bus driver for his suggestion, but my wife surely would never ask him for his route advise. Is there a Auto Club of Thailand that can give me updates on road conditions prior to my departure, so I can plan my route? What is one to do in your opinion (besides not go)?

My 2011 sites are inactive but you can always check in to ThaiVisa for updates. The other day they posted that Hua Hin was flooded. Today, Prachin Buri is flooded. I have not heard of any overall bad conditions.

By all means, don't let worries about flooding keep you from taking your trip, it should be a nice drive and you should be able to handle the road conditions.

Enjoy your trip!
