Flooded tracks cause suspension of rail services

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- State Railways of Thailand has suspended services in Nakhon Ratchasima due to flooding.

The SRT announced the suspension between Klongkananjit and Klongpai stations in Sikhiu district on Monday midnight after the tracks were covered by 10-15 cm of water.

The current was also strong and risked making the service dangerous. The suspension will continue until water levels fall.

Rail services between Ban Dong Bang and Kabin Buri stations in Prachin Buri have also been suspended due to flooding. The BangkokAranyaprathet and BangkokKabin Buri services now terminate at Prachin Buri station.

Look at the stats on track related accidents recently, injuries and fatalities- and compare them with the current flood situation. Ok, off to your research.

Did't claim they don't! But the recent staggering stats on track derailments far exceeds it-along with being able to brace for flooding a little easier than your train derailing, yeah?!

Yep, right: you made a not so clever remark...and I make my research.
So here it is: death through derailment lately approximately...ahm...ZERO!

Flood deaths in the last 2 weeks ....ahm...around 20 ++!

Go figure!

4 derailments is a month is good then Doc, hospitalization is nothing, 297 deaths on the tracks in the last 6 years, and you're not a troller.

Floddie bye bye, where is my Highspeed train???giggle.gifgiggle.gifgiggle.gifgiggle.gif

Dude...you were talking about a blessing in disguise- not me!

You were talking about the rails of death- not me!

Now you are going on about 300 deaths by derailment in the last 6 years...

How many dead in the flood in 2011? 1000something? 2013 so far? 20+?!

And of course you are right: hospitalization counts....so...how many hospitalized in the 2011- flood? How many until now?

Talking about trolling!

The right guy in your avatar is "Silent Bob"...learn from him, man!

I don't get it where all, these reports come from. Earlier today it was Don Muang readying for being flooded and now it are the rail tracks that are flooded.

Wasn't it made clear by the PM and her cronies ?

THERE WILL BE NO FLOODS

Memo to High speed track laying contractors, please check with the PTP flood mitigation control department ,as to what plans are in place to prevent flooding, if there are any plans and if so , when will these be implemented.coffee1.gif

The train just doesn't work in Thailand. If it's not derailment, it's the floods that's stopiing it on its track, quite almost literally. And they want a 'high-speed' train?
