I've been with my wife for 2 years now but having set out to stay in Thailand and never thinking that we would opt to live in the UK I have two major problems..I have come back to the UK Feb this year and...

a. I have literally no phone records as when I called Orange today they said they do not keep records longer than six months old-from before I was in Thailand.
b. Since being back in the UK for the last 8 months I was using Lebara but just checked and they only store the last 3 months records

I have the financial criteria in place and I have the following

a. receipts of western union payments for the last year
b. enough photos of us both together(40-50)
c. a patchy year of occasional skype calls
d. some facebook interaction but not huge amounts as we dont tend to email or facebook a lot
e. legal marriage certificates
f. receipts of plane tickets bought for both of us to travel with Airasia around 4 times from beginning of 2012-late 2012

When we lived together in Thailand I kept nothing else apart from lots of stamps on my passport showing a lot of to and fro and non immigrant year visa

I am concerned that this level of proof of communication between us could throw a real spanner in the works when applying for a settlement visa?? Help/advise please

are you thinking to make a Visa for her to come to the UK?

As for records ... forward planning is always best.

Emails ... even it's just one replied a week.

Dead easy to print and provide as evidence.

It is far less important to demonstrate regular contact with a spouse as the marriage certificate covers that pretty effectively. You only need to provide enough evidence that the relationship is 'subsisting'.

The ECO will probably be more interested in the accommodation and income requirements than a blow by blow account of how a husband and wife interact!

Not quite clear if you are in the UK (from February) or will be coming back in February. If you have been apart for this time it is presumably to allow you to establish in the UK to be able to meet the financial requirements!

Just provide what you can regarding contact and explain in a letter why you cannot provide phone records. I would pretty much guarantee they are more interested in your bank statements than phone statements!

Sorry don't understand?

It means that a Moderator has moved your post to a more appropriate forum and where you are likely to get better advice, which you seem to have done.

Supply what you can and explain your concerns to the case worker in writing. People need to understand they are'nt nazi monsters the visa office. Each applicant is treated as an individual.
