True-H accepts pre-order information requests. You sign up, and they'll let you know first when and how it is available.

If they sell it online like last year, I'll probably buy one. However, no VAT refund was a deal breaker but everything has a price.

I bought a Grey market 5s 64Gb 10 days ago in Pattaya Big C 2nd road, in a small telecom shop, so far very happy, finger print sensor/touch ID is excellent and very easy to use, I can notice the speed is faster compared to the iphone 5

A very good product, but pricy for sure

@bolt

How much did you pay for?

I paid 32,500 for the Grey coloured 64gb

i sold him my 5 for 16,000

I've used him many times for iphones & ipad etc, he's honest

PS

I've just paid 700 pounds for a gold 5s for the Daughter, my brother will bring it from the Uk, so 32K is ok with me

no warranty but so far not much problems with apple devices in 3-4 years

Is it not subject to standard AppleCare coverage? As I understand, this is transferable between buyers.

I don't know, or even didn't know you can transfer the coverage.

has anyone tried to do it and then make a claim later

No, that's not how AppleCare works. All Apple products are in their warranty database, worldwide. I've had US-brought products serviced in Thailand, and vice versa. There is no problem at all, and I don't even think they look up your name. They just look up the serial number of the device to see if it's covered. There is one "official" AppleCare center near Siam Center in BKK, but there are Authorized Service Centers all over the country, usually in electronics stores. You would not be able to "make a claim later"; just get it to a service center & they will take good care of you.

when will apple i phone 5S be available through website in thailand. I am puzzled that Apple thai store still shows only iphone 4S as available latest model (not even iphone5). Also will operators like AIS/DTAC provide SIM change for iphone4 user through them?

After 25 october it will be available to order online.

Operators change sim for free if you bring your old sim.
