Yooyung
What is this bite? I have had it now for about 1 week. It is about the size of a 1 baht coin. It doesnt hurt, but its a bit itchy....I may go to a doctor (as my wife is pleading) but before that, does anyone know what it may be? I think it may be a spider bite. I dont think I am going to drop dead tomorrow, its more of an annoyance really.... Maybe put some cream on it....but what cream? Sceptict11
Difficult to tell from the picture but may be ringworm --------- if that is true clotrimazole cream will fix the problem.
Sheryl
Ringworm is not impossible but would usually not be so solidly red , usually just a "ring" without red inside the circle. Nummular (discoid) eczema is my best guess. In which case it would respond to topical steroids. If you want to hedge your bets, apply a cream containing both clotrimazole and a steroid, e.g. Myda-B which is found in almost all pharmacies. Should it increase in size or become painful, or if you notice any red streaks along the arm leading from it, then see a doctor at once as those would be indications of a bacterial infection. Forethat
Hmm, I probably would want to get that checked for Lyme...especially since you tell me it itches as well. Seriously, be careful with that, get it checked.
Yooyung
Right well....Lyme, that is a bit concerning. I will go to the Doc and see what they say. Cheers.
