Chill1 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 My wife and I are moving to Thailand to retire in the middle of November and we are looking for pet friendly accommodation in Bangkok for a month before we move up to Chiang Mai. This should give us enough time to buy a car and organise ourselves before we settle up North. We have searched forums and inter webs but unfortunately, the ones that people have recommended must have changed their policies and we cannot find anywhere that will take us with our well behaved 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback for a month. Some will take us if we are "long stay" but so far no luck on a month. Most unfortunately don't even respond to emails. Does anyone have any suggestions on decent dog friendly accommodation in Bangkok that will allow a one month stay? We plan to travel a lot through Thailand so all recent experience with pet friendly accommodation would be very helpful.
Sheryl Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 This place is where I usually stay when I need pet friendly in Bkk. http://chatrium.com/chatrium_residence_sathon/services-amenities/ It's serviced apts so you get a full kitchen and separate living room etc. And I think they discount for stays of a month. Location is fairly convenient (Central and Tesco lotus in walking distance) and they run a free shuttle bus to the skytrain. It's about 2 years since I last stayed there so not sure it is still pet friendly. Best to call and ask them. Thai businesses tend not to be very good about answering emails. when you call you can also enquire about long term rates. Another possbility is Oakwood Apts, they are definitely still pet friendly and have 4 locations, those a bit further out will be less expensive http://www.oakwood.com/Bangkok-serviced-apartments
