Hello,

I did my search here and refer to the thread

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/331251-non-immigrant-o-type-visa-and-work-permit/

but would appreciate if someone could tell me if it is still same today.

I applied for a Non Imm. B visa with letter from a Thai Company that invited me for work and partnership but got refused it.

Instead there gave me an Non Imm. O multi, based on marriage and kids.

I will open my one company when arrived in Thailand and need a work permit (company will have more than 2 mill and enough Thai staff).

Can I change the Non O to Non B at immigration in Thailand?

Do I need a Non B for work permit?

Or can I apply for a work permit on Non O based on marriage?

Thanks in advance

You can get a work permit and work with your non-o based upon marriage. You do not need a B visa.

You will only need to have 1 mil registered capital and possibly only 2 Thai employees to get your work permit because you are married to a Thai.

If you can prove income of 40K baht you can get an extension of stay based upon marriage and continue working. Just show tax payments and work permit.

You can not obtain a non immigrant B visa in the region with just a letter and it would not have been a multi entry in any case. As said the O visa should be fine - just be sure they know it was issued for marriage when getting the work permit.
