Firefox Keeps Changing Proxy Settings

Featured Replies

Am experiencing weird setting changes with firefpx at present.

Each time I open it sets the proxy settings to a specific ip. So I change to auto detect and it works fine - until the next time I start firefox - then it resets to the set ip.

Any suggestions?

Jack

I had that same problem before upgrading to FF1.5.

If you're already at FF 1.5 a solution might be to back up your bookmarks, then uninstall FF, delete all mozilla directories and data in your user directory and reinstall.

Feedback

I could not figure out an answer.

Was using 1.5 so trashed everything (after backup of bookmarks) and reinstalled - works fine now
