Bangkok condo place or area - How high the floor; No ants; Least Mosquitos

In a condo now about a 30 minute taxi ride (thats with no traffic, 40 to an hour with) to the BTS and the traffic for riding a bike is crazy. Once my lease is up will want something either closer (i.e. BTS) and/or with traffic more reasonable so I can just take my motorbike. Lived in Udon Thani prior, CM & Krabi Town before that, so not as experienced as a rider in such traffic (i.e. in between the cars or lanes of which are much tighter).

The main question however is there anywhere (residence rental, excl., houses) within Bangkok of practical distance to a BTS, less than 20,000 BHT of high (or the minimum) floor that lack those tiny ants & I can leave the windows open without worrying about wandering Mosquitos? Traffic no worse than CM also preferable rather than the dense parking lot outside where it takes 20 min to go 1 km (that's to the local shopping area, the BTS direction is opposite). I know I can just sweat it out with the typical uneven walk, but I more often like to dress better...getting tired of shorts & t-shirts. Also prefer an area that is absent of any Redlight district characteristics/establishments (e.g. Bars), but a normal English Pub would be appreciated.

Don't know how to edit my OP, so just to add... More specifically looking for District names to research and/or condo names with such districts & the minimum floor it takes to escape those pesky critters. Closer to the BTS or MRT. Traffic option is just the hopeful plus.

Plenty of places around On-Nut and further out on Sukhumvit rd along the BTS in your price range, but won't be very big. I stay on the 15th floor and still get a few ants and mossies but not enough of a problem to worry about.

On-Nut was a consideration, the prices of what condos I found just weren't right but than again that was off the web. Finding more often that you have to do the leg-work in finding the good places. Just wondering what such places some of you might have found & of which are "sweet" finds. My minimum on SQM is 40...preferably not a Central London overly-priced closet with a cot.

Looking at Bang-Na & Siam as well but so far just off the web.

I have a house near Bang Na in an area called Prawet...Close to the Kings Park on Chalerm Prakiat (one of the main roads) where there are executive apartments (not high rises though) where the rent is advertised (on the building) to start out at 8,000 baht. Also very close is Srinakarin (another major road) with two HUGE shopping centers (Seacon and Paradise). All of this is a short bus or taxi ride to Udom Suk BTS or ON NUT... building like crazy out here so probably have the type of condos your looking for too.

good Luck

Oz893 you are aware that ants are not altitude limited and that mosquitoes can fly

aren't you?? coffee1.gif

Been in condos, short term rentals - Phrom Phong & Phra Khanong, where I didn't have ants regardless if I left a donut on the counter all night & could leave the balcony door open without Mosquitos, flies or gnats visiting. The problem with those places were cost and size.
