Can I place my own donation box on the streets of Thailand ? There is no law stopping me to put a box with a picture of a poor kid on it.

All I need is to stay near my box to check nobody steal, and when it s full, I cash it!

Each year I threaten to buy my now 28 year old Thai stepson a metal coffee cup so he can go sit in the market and beg rather than keep coming to me with his hand out! His handicap is laziness a common disease among some people be them Thai or not!

Well, while you might find your post funny (I don't), you might have at least looked a little closer into the Thai law about collecting donations:

the Social Welfare Promotion Act BE 2546 provides for the establishment of Public Benefit Organisations (PBOs), a foundation or association which has the objectives of social welfare provision or a private organisation which has works relating to the provision of social welfare. All associations and foundations must register with the Ministry of the Interior, according to the Act of National Culture B.E 2489 and the Civil and Commercial Code. Registered organisations receive a certificate of registration with a registered number.
