Classical Concert in Pattaya

Members in Pattaya might be interested to know that a classical music concert will be held on Monday 28th October at the Siam Bayshore Resort at the end of Walking Street.

The concert will be performed by the SSMS String Orchestra. The soloist is Tasana Nagavajara and the orchestra will be led by Leo Phillips. (Members might remember these musicians from the Scheharazade concert in Tiffany's in April this year.)

They will play Vivaldi's Four Seasons and two Divertimenti by Mozart.

The concert starts at 7pm and should finish before 9pm.

Sounds good. I enjoy the occasional concerts in Bangkok but it's a long way and this is much more convenient.

Tickets/booking required?

Agreed, it's a long way to go to Bangkok. It has to be something really special to get me to go there. But there are many performances in Bangkok that I would go to if they were 'down the road'.

Tickets are available from Siam Bayshore Hotel, Wave Hotel, The Bayview, Rabbit Resort in Jomtien and Cucumber Inn. If you are going by, might as well buy them. Save dealing with a long line on the day.

Could anyone post GPS coordinates or at least a link to Google Maps? Thanks!

Thank you! However those coordinates point to Pattaya Sai 2nd Road, which is where I would park my motorbike, but not where the place is actually located: http://goo.gl/maps/Ew0UE

Try typing Siam Bayshore Hotel in google, works like a charm.

Thank you, this is more like it: http://goo.gl/maps/4Q4PO

Can someone confirm that this is where we get in?

Thanks

If you are walking from Walking Street you can get in here. But it's a 400 meter walk to the Parkview Conference Hall, where the event will be held. You can enter with vehicle from the beach side of the hotel.

The entrance for vehicles is here, on Second Road: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=12.923175,+100.872128&hl=en&ll=12.923225,100.872388&spn=0.006985,0.011523&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=46.226656,94.394531&t=m&z=17

The Parkview Conference Hall is about 100 meters from the entrance. There is plenty of parking.

I would suggest using this entrance even if you are walking or coming by public transport as you are much less likely to get lost in the maze of buildings and jungle.

The first one. You can see "Siam Bayview" written on the wall.

Really looking forward to this concert. I already have my tickets as I understand tickets are selling fast.

How much a ticket costs?

Side question, do you think it's a good idea to bring a baby there? I'm talking about a 8 months old baby who is usually very calm and very quiet, and who would be fascinated by the music. I think it's a great thing for a baby to listen classical music... just wondering if babies are usually accepted there? I promise if he starts to cry (unlikely) we'll leave right away!

Here is a picture of the entrance with a banner for the concert. It should make it easier to find the entrance. There should be a similar one outside the Parkview Conference Hall on Monday. Let's hope that people won't get lost.
