In my crystal balls, I see a new high-rise project.

Yes, I would agree with your crystal balls..so to speak....in allegedly the most corrupt dept in an allegedly corrupt system, anything is possible.....allegedly.

You guys are hilarious. No developer in their right mind would build a condo on leasehold land in the middle of a low-income community adjacent to an expressway far from transit even IF zoning regulations permitted it, which they don't.

So that's where it was. I was watching it from my balcony in Sathorn Road. Massive flames and much black smoke. Have not read any reports in the local English language press about it, but it would be interesting to know the cause, (official or unofficial).

Oh, I just saw it's in BP - arson by a man called Nut - who argued with his wife then set fire to his wooden house, damaging 50 others, affecting 200 people. It was in the Rom Klao community in Klong Toei. Similar story to one there a couple of years ago.

Who said it had to be high end condos aimed at foreigners and rich Thais? Lots of cash to be made from pack-em-in-tight Thai orientated condos and if the price is right, they'll sell anywhere in Bangers regardless of location.. Seen the minibuses at Victory monument taking thousands of workers to and from surrounding provinces everyday because there isn't enough affordable real estate in the city?
