Best Chocolate cheesecake on the Island, and it was healthy!

I was inspired to start this thread by the Favourite Restaurants in Phuket post.

I was taken to the Raw Cafe in Rawai on Saturday and had probably the best Chocolate Cheesecake I've ever had! haha Certainly the best dessert I've ever tried on the Island. I'd have never tried eating raw food unless my friend didn't force me to go, but I can honestly say it was excellent. For mains I had a raw lasagna, which was better than any traditional cooked lasagna I've tried.

Has anyone else been there? it's on the main wiset (viset??? i never know) road towards chalong from rawai, opposite the vijitt resort.

I will try to get there again this week. i need to start eating way cleaner... my diet recently has been pretty shocking!!!

Yeah I agree robert the garden is nice at the back. I didn't want to sit on the busy road side so it was nice to sit back there.

I was told there used to be another Healthy Food Restaurant one down towards Naiharn lake called Living Food Cafe, but that's closed now. the boss got sick or something? maybe somebody can shed some light.

edit: sorry, I just found the website for the place on Wiset rd facebook.com/atsumirawcafe

Of course i'm talking about raw food! The place is called Raw Cafe!!! biggrin.png

to be honest, at the time I didn't really care if the food was cooked or not, I just loved the taste.

as for the health benefits, well everything was vegetables nuts and seeds etc, so obviously that is healthy. of course you could debate long and hard about if a Raw diet is healthy or not but that's not something I could lecture anybody on as i am no expert

I agree with you 100% that the place has got some really great, healthy food choices. I've been there on more than one occasion, and sometimes take friends there for something different. I've had the chocolate cheesecake there, and it tastes fantastic ... recommend everyone to go in and try this place out if you are in search of something off the beaten path.

For me lasagne is made from pasta, to name a dish made with raw strips of zucchini, as such is a fraud.

I wouldn't bother eating there even if it was accessible for wheelchairs, my current ride.

The pics on their website show you have to negotiate several flights of stairs to get there.
