PM oversees last selection round of Smart Lady Thailand

BANGKOK, 26 Oct 2013 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday oversaw the last round of elimination in the Smart Lady Thailand project, which will eventually pick 12 women who will partake in a reality TV program for 1 month.

Ms. Yingluck on Friday had photographs taken with the remaining 16 contestants in the Smart Lady Thailand project. 12 women will eventually be selected to partake in an intensive learning course within the 'Smart Lady Thailand House' for one month; their activities during the month will be televised live around the clock. Theory and practice sessions will be on equality, leadership, and social service.

In her capacity as the head of the board of the Thai Women Empowerment Fund, the agency hosting the project, Prime Minister Yingluck indicated that in addition to developing the capacities of the 12 contestants, the reality program will also allow the public to learn new things and provide support to the women's representatives who will become role models for the new generation.

The reality program will be broadcast live around the clock on True Visions channel 70, True Visions HD channel 110, and through the Smart Lady Thailand website.

Really, does yingluck not have better things to do than host/guest appear on yet another moronic reality show. stupid is as stupid does.

In someways, watching her current group of clowns AKA PTP in action, moronic reality shows must be close to her heart.

Great. This is what we get when keeping her home. Satisfied now? Who was it that said allowing her all the foreign trips was a waste of taxpayers money? Well done!

The photo sessions will be right up suit her qualification/resume. The pose, positure, and smile, she can coach on. Just make sure that there are no photos made when being asked questions that lean toward what your job/responsiblity is or your personal thoughts on solving the problems, presented, nor the ones you have created.

The inclusion of this reality show byTrue vision is at least consistent with their program selection history. I am waiting for them to introduce a documentary on Thai piss ants, consuming a bale of hay, with Jataporn being the narriator.

Please tell me where this current Government can find anyone who has the vaguest credentials to lecture on Equality, Leadership and social values. Should such a person be found then it would be of real value for the whole of her party to attend.

How on earth can you take part in reality tv and be 'smart' at the same time? Thai tv is bad enough as it is without this western imported mind rot.

Amnesty bill, southern troubles, bad economy with exports down but I'm glad to see ee ngor is taking her job as Prime Minister Barbie very seriously and overseeing this very important task.

It will be interesting to see how smart they all look after they've taken off their make-up and readied themselves for bed time.

I guess I'll organize a few parties to watch them sleep. First party guest to point out one of those "smart ladies" snoring or drooling all over her pillow, earns a shooter. I figure we'll all be drunk well before dawn.

"Big Brother" was insulting enough in terms of uninspired TV programming; a house full of social misfits and losers having sex in every corner, and when not, lunging at each others' throats.

But Thailand is of course compelled to top this, always deeply concerned that it might fall out of touch with bad taste.

First we had to endure that ill-conceived "Thaksin Show", an entire village and nation introduced to the delusion that all it takes to lift everyone out of perceived poverty is for the prime minister to throw around generous 1,000-baht tips and hold obscure pep talks that nobody understands.

Then there was "Academia Fantasia", a house inhabited by untalented singers and even worse dancers constantly bickering with one another, and whose imbecile backstabbing schemes one would have expected to be the products of the mind of an underdeveloped 7-year-old.

And now we can look forward to "Smart Lady Thailand House", a house crammed with bimbos who can afford spending an entire month away from their work/education so they can shamelessly prove to us how desperately bleak Thailand's future is in terms of leadership (and common sense).

Oh dear...!

Of course the supreme irony of this show is that no truly 'smart lady' would have anything to do with such nonsense. laugh.png

They heard smart and thought someone was talking about their phones.

The show will probably be programmed to run for about 6 months with the finale airing on 1st April 2014.

Nice headline, looks like she's practising as a plantation mistress for when or if her brother returns here.

Sad to see the duties of a puppet Prime Minister are so '' taxing.'' whistling.gif

Can't wait to see those 12 "finalists". I could almost bet they're all white-as-snow, make-up-plastered, dim-witted bimbos dressed in the latest fashion, wielding several smartphones (where most of their IQ is stored) pasted with cutesy stickers and holding "important positions" especially created for them in their family businesses.

And if they're asked what their aspirations are for the country, they'll probably answer: "I wish world peace for Thailand".

... while their internal dialogue is "i really hope mae remembered to record the lakorn I'm missing for this"
