Hello,

last week i went to the thai consulate in HK, applying for a Tourist Visa. Over the past 20 month i had already 5 tourist visas in my passport. From Cambodia, Laos and germany.

One entry was no problem, without any questions, the officer not even looked in my passport. I asked also for a double entry visa, officer informed me when i can provide two air tickets

outside Thailand then i can have also a double entry visa. Picked up passport on the next working day, so no problem at all.

Cheers....

I would think over the winter months they would be more willing to give double entries. Thailand is a good place to come for 5-6 months to avoid the ice and snow. I bruised a rib last March slipping on some ice and won't have to worry about that this coming winter.

I don't think Hong Kong has ice ever.

Seasons make no difference anywhere anyway.

Believe reasoning was that they should provide visas easier to westerners during the winter months as it would be more logical for travelers to want to extend there stay away from the dire weather of Europe/Canada/US North and such rather than meaning for HK nationals.
