SamSipEt
Our requirements are quite simple - we are looking for somewhere comfortable that sells a good selection of Thai food with one complication - the local election bans alcohol until midnight. There will be about 10 of us and we are prepared to travel because we want to hold the party on Sunday and we want to have a drink or several. So any suggestions for somewhere within easy travelling distance from Chiang Mai City would be gratefully received.
Felipesed
Epa Restaurant, good food and not expensive. Can cater for 10 easily. 2 Km east of Bosang on the 1006 towards Sankampheang, look for Siam Celadon factory on left hand side. First turning left after factory, big signpost for Epa Restaurant and Puka Resort. 400 metres down that road on left hand side. Alternatively Olarn House, Sankampheang. As you come into Sankampheang from Bosang on the 1006, at crossroads turn left. Restaurant is 25 metres down road on left hand side. Park opposite or on roadside. I don't think the above two restaurants are affected by the prohibition as they are outside city limits.
