November 3, 201312 yr Hi all, Just a quick Q regarding the photocopies for the spouse visa application, is it only for the documents that i need returning? So far i have done photocopies of my financials, tb and english test, marriage stuff and proof of ownership documents....but the rest i dont need to be sent back to me as i have only to print it out again if i need it (relationship proof and cover letters etc). I will look to submit the photocopies in a separate folder, but didnt see the point in photopying all of my skype chat etc!
November 3, 201312 yr Hi, someone more knowledgeable will no doubt reply soon, but I know the UKBA rules now state bank statements and salary slips must be originals not photo/online copies. Edited November 3, 201312 yr by Rob180
November 4, 201312 yr Copy everything and include the originals. You recieve everything back anyway, they dont keep your paperwork.
November 4, 201312 yr Copy all the documents you want returning and make sure they are clearly labelled as such. Don't overwhelm the ECO with photos, just include enough to give an indicative picture of your relationship. theoldgit
November 4, 201312 yr I just suppied photocopies of ' the more important stuff' (as well as originals where poss). I would (did) only bother sending the one copy of skype chat, personal emails etc etc
November 4, 201312 yr The official recommendation is that you should include copies of all documents where you want the originals returned. So if you don't want the originals back, no need for copies.
