Hi guys,

For those of you who remember me when I was an active member - I lived in Thailand for 2 years during 2011 - 2013 and unfortunately I had to return home back to the UK in May 2013 due to ill health.

I've always had kidney problems and I took a gamble moving to Thailand in the first place. Either way, I had a fantastic 2 years in Thailand and I don't regret the decision to move out there. I miss Thailand an awful lot. :(

I am now at home in the UK where it's cold and rainy and I'm now on kidney dialysis. I'm waiting for a kidney transplant and on the list currently. Hopefully the wait won't be too long so I can get back out to South East Asia, even if it's only for a holiday!

I've started a blog to explain my journey and experience being on dialysis and I thought it might be an interesting read to some of you guys. I found that there is scarily little amount of information about people on peritoneal dialysis and not many people sharing their experiences so I decided to fill in a niche market.

My blog is here: http://girlondialysis.blogspot.co.uk/

I hope everyone is well!

(If this is in the wrong subforum then my apologies, please move it)

See you soon!

I was going to make a sarcastic post(what me?) but then read that you were on dialasis ,so hope you get that transplant and come home soon.thumbsup.gif

you had some good stories here, I think my favorite was when you wrote about getting smacked in face on a motorcycle taxi by a low tree branch (i think that was you); I could relate b/c im tall and thus always having to duck branches and things on my local moto taxi.

best of luck with the treatment!

Hey ...haven't been a member long but wishing you the best...hope it all works out and you return soon to Thailand which has been the best medicine for me..smile.png

Hi Cassie!

I checked out your site. It's a well written blog. I will follow it faithfully.

Honestly, I had to do a Google search to find out what peritoneal dialysis entails.

You're still on my Friends list.

Hope things can improve for you and you can re-visit the country you feel a connection with.

.

And there I was thinking you just had enough of us guys on here!

:)

All the best with your health, get well, and get back to Thailand soon!

Dont know much about different forms of treatment but have a friend due to arrive in Thailand in a few weeks, he has dialasys daily but when he comes he brings the machine and boxes of fluid with him, the hospital taught his wife how to do his "oil change" as we call it.

Best of luck with your treatment and hope you get chance to comeback in the not too distant future.

Joop joop, hug!

Yes, even the Mods team would welcome you back :)

Do get well soon.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I thought you'd just grown weary of some of the more acerbic attitudes of one or two members but what a shock.

I'm rooting for a timely kidney transplant and a swift return to LOS.

I wasn't an active member back then, but was already reading the forum and always enjoyed your posts. I wish you all the best and hope you'll be soon able to come back to Thailand.

Aww thank you very much guys for the well wishes! Surprisingly I did miss Thaivisa and all your old ramblings and moanings! Some of you have a way with words which used to make me chuckle!

you be back soon! but whats with the haircolor? you +30 and emo ?

Are you implying I am over the age of 30 and emo? You should get your facts right first, otherwise you look stupid...

I could go ahead and be quick to judge that you're obviously a geeky sexpat living in Patong thinking that you're in love cause a Thai girl pays you some attention.... But wait, that would be considered very judgmental right? whistling.gif
