Kettlebells

Hi! I'm only in town visiting friends and some family for 2 weeks, so I am not looking to purchase for delivery. I was wondering if anyone has some GS (competition steel) or RKC (cast iron) kettlebells that I can share use of (or rent!) while I'm in town! 12kg and 16kg would be perfect! I arrive on the 13th and leave the 27th. Please no suggestions of kettlestacks, as they do not work for my training - I am working to eventually (hopefully) build up to 24kg snatches or long cycles for 10 minutes, as it standard for my sex/age class for GS.

Not holding my breath for this, but I would be ecstatic if I can continue my training!

If that is your pict then I want go on the record to say your smoking hot!!!

I'm not aware of kettlebells for sale in CM but a few places in BKK and Phuket sell and ship them.

Not exactly cheap though.

Gawd Almighty...what a way to greet this lovely girl! Crude, rude, and semi-literate.

No wonder there are so few Thais on the forum.

Then after that loutish come-on you provide her with some useful information.

Very hard to find in CM. As mentioned Central in KSK do sell them and they are RKC type (Cast Iron). Ive been to a few fitness/gym places and none of them had kettlebells. As TheScarf mentioned above, Crossfit may be your best bet unless someone has their own personal kettles

Good luck thumbsup.gif

why post in this thread if you don't have any information to offer?

Thanks for the info. Once again, since I'm leaving on the 27th, I don't seem much point in buying some.

I doubt there would be silks either, but any place with a climbing rope (that's not Crossfit)?

I love club bells and kettlebells but when traveling I think people forget they can just use anything that is heavy to get a good workout.

Rocks of different sizes. containers filled with water, sandbags, furniture or really anything. The novelty of a different shape, movement or grip is really stimulating.

These bar starz guys have a lot of interesting ideas. http://www.barstarzz.com/category/howto/

Or just work on core with something like Foundation training. Even some of the best athletes have deficient cores.

Believe me when I say I understand this. Most of my aerial work is core-based. I just don't know of a way to stay stable and graceful suspended or inverting in mid-air on two strips of fabric otherwise. I also just finished the last 2013 Tough Mudder (Temecula, California) before flying out here. And sitting on a plane for 19 hours after that is fun!

Kettlebells are just a small part of my training, but the point is not just to "get a good workout." They are just such a different skillset, and I am training for an upcoming GS competition. I can do barbell snatches, but it's different too. If you can find me 16kg rocks I can do double swings and long cycles with, that would be fantastic! ;)

Hmm, yeah, but unlike your reply, his post at least contained some information related to the poster's question, which can not be said for your own post.

Not seen kettlebells in any gym here myself unfortunately, so can not offer any information. Would assume the OP is aware her/his requirements are quite unusual, and not something one would expect to find in any random city.
