In the early hours of Tuesday a reporter working for Thai National TV Channel 7, who is based in Pattaya, was involved in an attempted assaulted by two men, one of which is thought to have been featured in one of his stories which was published locally and nationally on 31st October.

The story relates to an assault and stabbing of a German National on Pattaya Beach by Khun Mausak on the night of 31st October. At the end of the case the suspected attacker was only given a 500 Baht fine which many saw as unduly lenient. The story was discussed on the internet and on national TV news programs which angered the suspect.

As the reporter, Khun Isara aged 33, was riding home on his motorbike along Pattaya Second Road in front of Soi Honey Inn, in the early hours of Tuesday, Khun Mausak and a second man approached from behind on their bike and attempted to kick the reporter off his bike. He was able to remain in a vertical position and nearby was a Police vehicle who saw the commotion and approached the scene.

Just goes to show if the police had ACTUALLY taken the original crime seriously the offender may not have done this.....maybe.

That guy needs to be put away for good!

So as he did not hut the reporter I amuse he just got a 50B fine this time.

Must have connections in high places.

.

What an idiot! Deserves to be ridiculed in the media again.

Nah, too lenient.

Probably should be publicly hung, drawn and quartered. That will teach him not to do it again.

What a Dork .

USA this would be a Very Serious Offence with a 5 - 10 year Sentence possible

In Pattaya will probably top out at 50Baht fine wouldn't it. It's only 500 for Serious Assaults isn't it ??

Attacking Media wouldn't be anything in Thailand would it ??
