Could someone please tell me what “ line identification number “is?

Someone today asked me for my “ line identification “but I said I didn't have one.

Can anyone please shed some light on exactly what this is?

I haven't become involved with it because I don't know what it is even though I have seen people quote their own number. I must be terribly out of the loop on this.

But I manage to survive quite well with my mobile telephone number and e-mail address. I never bother with Facebook or Twitter , and I never will.

In the settings of Line on your phone or Tablet you can select a ID for yourself using letters or Numbers but only once it can't be changed, After you have setup your ID then other Friends can use this to find you and make you a Friend.
