Any Recommendations Please for Where to get Botox?

Featured Replies

Hi All

I recently moved to Chiang Mai and it's going to be time soon to get my Botox re-done. Can anybody please recommend (from personal experience or the experience of 'a friend' :) somewhere in CM to do this? I want it done in a clinic with a qualified doctor, not be some barely trained person in a salon.

Or, for those of you in Bangkok, if you can recommend somewhere that is also helpful. I'd rather travel to BKK and get it done properly than get a half-baked job here in CM that leaves me looking worse!

I really appreciate any help on this. Thank you all in advance.

Afraid I can't say re CM. Yoiu could try one of the derms at Sripat (ask for one that specializes in cosmetic) but I can't give you a specific name.

I can recommend in Bkk:

1. iSky clinic - this is my current "go to place". Dr. Woraphong or Dr. Rungsima. http://www.iskycenter.com/th/doctors

You can also see Dr. Woraphong at Bumrungrad but likely to cost more there.

Important tip: this clinic has both Botox and Dysport. The Dysport costs less and works just as well.

2. BNH Hospital: Dr. Worapan or Dr. Supachok

My sister was visiting last week. She is a nurse (Matron - MSc nurse Grad). While in Airport Plaza, I think on the 2nd (maybe 3rd) floor behind the centre lifts, there is a clinic/shop with text on the window - at the top of the list was something that my sister told me was basically Botox - therefore you might like to check there (it may well be that they use the proper "Botulinum toxin treatment" term instead.

There are a lot of small clinics offering botox everywhere. Sometimes real botox, sometimes not.

The issue is the skill of the people administering it and whether or not they take enough time to do a really good job.

Thank you both.

Sheryl, I've never heard of Dysport, I will read up about it. I was very friendly with my doctor back in Dubai so I will email her and ask her opinion on it too. Have you had Botox from the four doctors you mention? Or have friends who recommend them? As you say, it's all about the skill and the care taken by the person who administers the injections which is exactly why I'm looking for personal recommendations. I'm actually quite concerned about going to somebody new.

Been to all the ones I mentioned.

iSKY is my current favorite.

The problem i have had is that once I find a doctor that does it well, in time s/he gets more and more clients and starts getting rushed, and as you probably know a lot depends on spending enough time to really study the face, discuss with the patient what is desired and make sure to get all the necessary spots.

Dysport is botulinum toxin the same as Botix, just different brands.
