Belgian found hanged

CHALONG, PHUKET: -- : A 66-year-old Belgian man was found dead in his home on Tuesday, apparently having committed suicide.

Police reported that the man, whom they named as Jose Wiame, had hanged himself. Two empty beer bottles and a note accusing his wife of cheating him and deserting him were found next to the body.

The suicide note, addressed to his wife, accused her of tricking him into opening a restaurant for her and then causing him to lose 3 million baht before abandoning him.

He finished the letter by vowing to haunt her through all her future lives and wrote that from now on she would have no happiness.

The body of Mr Wiame was discovered by volunteers from the Phuket Ruamjai Rescue Foundation and officers from Chalong Police Station after the dead man's landlord reported that something seemed to be amiss.

Mr Wiame was found in a semi-kneeling position with a mobile phone still in his left hand. The noose around his neck was attached at the other end to a beam. There were no signs of a struggle.

Pol Lt Col Jetsada, the officer in charge of the case, said, “Mr Wiame and his wife ran a restaurant in Karon until it closed down at the end of last year. They were often heard arguing. Three or four days ago, she disappeared.

“Mr Wiame’s body has been officially identified and is being kept at the Phuket Wachira Hospital awaiting instructions from the Belgium embassy,” he added.

She'll believe the ghost part...

thats what i thought too.

clever tactic.

shell spend a fortune on monks trying to remove his spirit.

A sad event and a dire warning to all who venture into business

deals in the LOS........................

Another sad and tragic end for a foreigner living here.

Reminded me of the foreigner who hanged himself a couple of months ago from a street lamp between Sukhumvit and Rama IV Road in the early hours of the morning.

In desperate moments......men are wont to do desperate things!

Very sad.

Sad and tragic, these suicides over money and perceived wrongs,

Maybe extreme unrelenting pain due to illness,

Loss of life style, dignity, due to paralysis, blindness,

Depression from loss of a loved one, family, anything,

You've heard it before,

.. if you have your health you have everything,

Probably more issues going on then we know,

but would appear no foul play for a change,

just a sad end to a sad situation, :o

Condolences to the family and survivors.

What a curse on the Mrs....I am sure she will have y ears of terror ahead of her and probably her family won't want any of her bad luck either.

thats what makes this such a fascinating tragedy.

the promise of unhappiness , not only for the rest of this life , but throughout all of her future lives.

he wouldnt have made such a doom laden and terrible curse if she wasnt a person with strong beliefs in spirits , ghosts and re-incarnation.

her future will be filled with constant uncertainty and worry , everytime some little thing in her life doesnt go to plan she will wonder if joses' ghost is the cause , every headache , twinge , ache and pain will remind her of the curse.

she will become a pariah to her family and friends. doomed to wander alone forever..... and ever.

it really is revenge from the grave.

i think prospective balcony jumpers could get some perverse satisfaction from employing similar tactics.

Peasants love their ghost stories.

I don't think the monks with their tatoos will have much luck removing his curse.

At least he was considerate enough to leave a note (hopefully it wasn't in Thai or in bar worker pidgin) so the TV'ers wouldn't speculate. RIP.

:o

When will we ever ever learn?????

Love the ghost bit lol
