Nexus 4 Kit Kat OTA Update Today

Featured Replies

Received my Kit Kat OS update over the air today. Installed it so now have to see what's new and improved :)

Examples? Nexus 4? Build?

No problems for me. Nexus 4 - KRT16S

Still seems to be excessive battery drain...also seems to be running hot much more than jelly bean. The upper back of my N4 get very hot to the touch...especially when the data connection is open and/or I'm surfing the Internet.

Can you go into Settings, Battery and share the details? Is Cell standby taking up more than 5%? Which service provider do you use? You could be just exactly between two base-stations and switching back and forth, that can heat things up and drain the battery.

Do you have a lot of apps. open? Maybe re-start the phone?

No heat, battery or FC issues on my N4/KRT16S. Works perfectly for me.

Rebooted the phone and seems to be running normally now...battery life and operating temperature now appear to be back to normal.
