To Bring My Dogs To Thailand

Recommended Posts

hello to everybody.I am planing to go to live in Chang Mai and start my busness there.

I visit already the real estates in Chang Mai through the net.My question is: I will get problems in renting a house (price aprox 30.000 bath a month) having 2 small dogs with me?. Another question is ,I already get informed about bringing my dogs in Thailand and the paperwork that is necessary, but sombody sugested me to have an extra brief from the Thai consulat of my cowntry whritten in thai about all the vacins and health certificates to evoid problems in case i met the wrong custom employe at the airport-(that speaks only thai). Do you think is necessary? Thanks in advance to all

In 1999 I brought my Hong Kong dog into Thailand via Russia and Turkey with Hong Kong English language papers and it was no problem at all at the airport. I simply had to go to the animal control office (or called something like that) and it took 20 minutes or so. I probably could have just walked out and gotten in a cab.

I also had no trouble renting a house in Bangkok. He's a 29 kg dog.

Good luck

As long as you bring your pet in as excess luggage. DONOT put through cargo hole or he will be taken straight into the warehouse and will cost you a day and close to Baht10000 to get him out of their.
