When to apply for 1-year extension of stay?

Maybe a dumb question. However, when exactly should I apply for my 1 year extension. (Marriage not retirement).

I have a 1-Year Multiple entry Non-Imm "O" visa, and a Thai wife, marriage certificate, Tabian Bahn, proof of income etc.

Visa expires January 2, 2014 and my most recent "Admitted Until" stamp is December 28th.

I'd prefer to do it before the last possible moment maybe around 10 December.

You can do it at any time now. Up to 30 or 45 days early is allowed.
