Non B

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am currently in Thailand on a Tourist visa which is now used. I am going to Penang next week to get another Tourist visa for 2 entries. However just recently on pure luck that one of my friends works in a Thai based company and she is Thai citizen. She has offered to help me get (sponcer) a Non B visa through her company, though I would not be working for this company. Is this ok to do this and after 3 months I understand I have to re-enter, are immigigration going to withhold the B visa because I would not have a work permit by that time and with that company that sponsored me?

The approach you are describing with definitely work for obtaining an initial Class B visa and entry permit - with very little chance of any complications.

You ability to keep doing this time after time is much less certain - particularly if you continue returning to the Thai diplomatic post that issued your first visa.

Immigration at the border will not care or cause any problems at their own initiative - if you can get a Thai diplomatic post to give you a visa, then Immigration will honor that visa, no questions asked.

Good luck!
