EV Charger paradox in Pattaya
Getting my first EV here (booked, didn't confirm yet), they don't provide the charger but I don't mind to pay. We live in a home with 2 phases and the small amp meter. The lady at the dealership said it's simple and we could request at PEA for a 3 phase, a bigger meter (30/100A) or a separate meter just for the car. I found some meters on Homepro and they say in order to install it the home needs at least the 30/100A meter. Ok, sent wife off to PEA and they told her the only way to get approval for the 30/100A meter is to have the charger already installed, then the PEA technician will confirm that it actually needs a more capable meter. But Homepro (for obvious reasons) refuses to install the charger unless the meter meets the specifications. So it's a paradox. Can't install the charger without a 30/100A meter but can't get a 30/100A meter without a charger that demands it! How the hell am I supposed to get one then? Brown envelope? -
