Durians, coconuts, etc in Bangkok

Recommended Posts

When I was in Bangkok, I'd never been interested in durians, coconuts, etc. But now I am and going to move to Bangkok from Samui soon. I barely found any information about fresh durians, coconuts. Especially coconuts because I drink them every day for a few months already.

How easy can I find them in Bangkok? Are they more expensive then, say, in Samui? Can I buy them only at the markets, what about the streets?

you can buy cocnuts allover from 10-20thb in the neghbourhoods and probably more in the tourst areas

i used to buy them but have heard rumours that unsweetened cocnuts were injected with insulin to make

them taste sweeter ,i dont know if thats true or false but it put me off them

Oh, that's a bad thing. I actually noticed that many coconuts in Samui are questionably sweet, much sweeter than in the Philippines.
