Hi, could any of you guys give me some advice on what exercise I could do with a set of dumb bells to improve my pec's and get rid of my love handles.

Try to lift heavier weights and build up muscle, the bigger 'engine' will burn more energy ... and that will aid fat reduction around your waist. That, combined with some cardio (swimming, running, rowing-machine) will do the trick. Oh, and good nutrition.

if possible swimming is great..but you must find a clean pool and hours that suit your schedule.
