elkangorito Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 Nothing seems to have been mentioned about the male uni students wearing 'tight fitting' anything It appears that the males wearing loose, baggy clothing is not as bad compared to what the females wear...even if it means that the guys show their undies. At my last school, I had more males interested in me (it was very obvious) than females...& these males seemed to wear tight fitting clothing. This was a little daunting at first but I very quickly learned to ignore this teenage hormonal yearning. Ok. This was not a uni but a Thai High School (M1 to M6). I suppose there's rules to be followed but dark hair and slender figure are commonplace in Thai females. pretty tough to differentiate from behind. (is there a cheap gag in there somewhere? ). How strange we're talking about Thai censors in another string when the PC police are so Quaker-like right here on TV!! Note they have no problem with STOLEN PICS off the web in this string! Making them sex objects by blocking out their faces is no issue for them. But whatever you do, don't post an orignal pic of a slim attractive thai lady. You're insensitive and a monster in their narrow little minds then. If all pictures posted were held to thier new, rigorous policy of "you must gain the subjects permission before posting" .......... Well, how many of the posters of the stolen pics do you think obtained the subject's permission? Would 1% of the pictures on this website meet that criteria? I don't believe so. But they will just drone on SELECTIVELY about invasion of personal rights when they know fully well there isn't an issue there. I've been a member here for three years (longer than most of the mods) but this is one of the reasons I seldom post here. Students have the right to express themselves anyway they wish. Thai students have very little flexibility and so push the boundaries as far as they can - i suppose to express their individuality. My wifes university in BKK was in the minority as students were allowed to wear what they wished - apparently short skirts - tight tops were not really an issue. At the end of the day - who cares!! If & when you decide to ALLOW these perfectly natural parts of your life to exist, then you will realise that there is no harm in 'window shopping'. You may actually find that you will finally be at peace with the 'inner war' that you must have... Alex If female Thai Uni Students wish to dress in such skimpy clothing, all I can say is that those who are attracted to such a spectacle, will be 'attracted' to such...for reasons of their own. Obviously, you are one of those that chooses NOT to be attracted in such a way. I, in no way, suggest that you are less masculine for having such an opinion but I think that others who are obviously 'alerted' to such obviously sexually provocative Thai 'dress sense', need not be classed as 'macho'. Why do you think that short skirts are NOT provocative? I think that this inane censorship of dress is exactly, INANE!! How you dress is your business & how I dress is my business.
