A few days ago I tried to withdraw money from AEON ATM and failed. My master card has a limit of $2500 per day and its balance was over $1000. The first time I tried to get 30.000 baht and it said something like "The maximum allowed is 20.000 baht". Then I tried 20.000 baht and it said "You have exceeded the daily limit of your card". The third time I tried 10.000 baht and the its answer was the same. I was quite surprised and a little shocked and said "Enough, this is where the police come in.

Eventually, I went to SCB ATM and was able to withdraw 10.000 from it + 180 baht fee. I didn't try a bigger amount, thought.

What's wrong with AEON? Did they decrease the daily limit from 40.000 to 20.000?

But what about the amount over 20.000? Even a bank employee said it was 20.000 and not 40.000 (even so it should be 40.000).

It has changed, now only 20000 in one draw.

AEON ATMs recently instituted a 20,000 limit per withdrawal. That's the limit of their machines.

Your card has its own separate limits on how much you can withdraw in any 24 hour cycle.

If your card had a high enough limit, you could still go to an AEON ATM, do one 20,000b withdrawal, then withdraw your card and then start a new session to withdraw another 20,000b -- again, provided your card daily limit would allow that.

Before the change, AEON ATMs used to allow much higher per withdrawal amounts.

Have you read what I wrote?

More than one poster has clearly answered your question.

AEON has reduced the limit per ATM withdrawal to 20000 Baht/transaction "recently".

(exact date of the change is not known, must be some months ago)

About your retries with 20k and 10k: no idea.

If the transaction records of your MC is OK and you got the money at the other bank same day, then it is a simple bug of the AEON ATM.
