CM hotel reco

Anyone got a hotel recommendation...convenient to the main areas.

We used to stay at that big hotel at Tapae Gate, but they have this crazy must attend xmas dinner crap over that period and don't want that at all.

We need room for 4, 2 kids, either joining rooms or big enough for extra 2 beds etc.

I think everyone can reel off a dozen without thinking....but why don't you just google or use agoda or trip advisor to get yourself a list made out.

You have your own criteria which we don't know.

Anyway I will start you off

The tamarind...child friendly,as central as you can get, not cheap but has family rooms that will be good value.

Google it.....and don't be lazy.

True that. The web sites don't advertise there is a karaoke next door or a roach ranch in the hallways.

And the reviews can be anything from paid shills to people complaining about an employee who was sacked years ago.

Is this forum just a site to redirect questions to other sites or can we help each other?

I think you are far more likely to find what you want from Booking.com etc and there will be enough user reviews to filter out the few rubbish reviews.. Most TV members dont use hotels I dont think -or not for any length of time

I agree whole heartedly. This is a forum where we are allowed to share and some one asking for advice should be respected. For my self I use hotels when traveling and am constantly proven rite when I arrive there and it is not what it looked like on what ever site I got it from. The reviews generally are diversified. Maybe they are all true who knows until you are there yourself.

To the OP it might help if you were a luittle bit more clear on what you want. You have been here before so you should be able to indicate an area and a price range.

Area...close to the city, like I said, we stayed at Tapae Gate before, so around there or anywhere similar distance.

Budget preferably up to 3k baht.

And like I said, comfortable and room for 2 kids extra beds or joined rooms.

Just do not want that compulsory xmas dinner bullshit as it sucks big ones.
