Staying 64 Days From Usa..help Best Method For Visa Please!

Recommended Posts

Your help is much appreciated!!!

My girlfriend and I are flying in from USA after 1 week stop in japan

Arriving Thailand May 28

Departing LOS Aug 1st

Someting like 64 days depending how you count

If I get 60 day here in USA, how do I take care of extra days?

Do I really need the 60 day visa if I do border run, but how to explain 64 day airline ticket?

Also, my girlfriend is leaving for a short trip to Hong Kong

on July 3 - July 10. So I assume she will get 30 day renew coming back from Hong Kong, but she will be over 30 days in 1st leg of trip from may 28-July 2.

Thank you thank you!

You need a single-entry tourist visa, your friend a double-entry tourist visa. Upon arrival in Thailand on May 28, your passports will get stamped with “admitted 28 MAY 2006 until 26 JUL 2006”

Your friend, upon returning from Hong Kong on July 2, will get a stamp “admitted 2 JUL 2006 until 30 AUG 2006”

Shortly before July 26 you, but not your friend, must apply for an extension of stay (application form TM-7) at any immigration office in Thailand and pay a fee of THB 1,900. Bring your passport and airline ticket along.

Alternatively, your friend could also get a single-entry visa plus, in Thailand, an extension but this would on the whole cost a little more, I believe.

Lazar, I read something wrong in your post. Your friend returns from Hong Kong on July 10 and therefore needs only a single-entry tourist visa.

i think we are going for two 60 day visas. a little overkill since she is only over the 30 days a bit, but she will get re-admitted coming from hongkong and i will just apply for a few days extension before the end. sound good?
