Buying reading glasses in Bangkok ?

I need some new reading glasses. In my last country of residence (Philippines) the prescription seemed to be made by a person in a white coat taking a guess at what I needed. How about in Thailand? Any tips on where to buy from and how to get my eyes tested? Do they test for astigmatism which I understand about 50% of us have? Do they test for pressure in the eyes?

You don't need to go to an optician. Brand name 'Long'.They have stronger frames. 200 -300 baht at any shopping centre or larger market. Try them out start with +1 or until you get the right strength.
