December 19, 201312 yr So i plan to travel there again after during that period and yes obviously hotel fees are much higher compared to other periods. Any hotels to reccommend? How is bkk like during new year's eve and the days after xmas? Is it chaotic during new years eve?
December 21, 201312 yr it's not that busy in Bangkok during the post X'mas - New year's Eve. Most people leave for somewhere else like Chiang Mai/ Chiang Rai... etc. However, New Year's Eve can be a little hectic depending on where you go... e.g. there's a BIG countdown party at Central World & Malls around there. But find a hotel close to the skytrain should be best if you do not have a car... or maybe a hostel which offers a private room and a balcony, so you can see the fireworks too at a better price. There's a new hostel open up around Taksin bts station. Worth checking out! http://www.facebook.com/bkkhub. A friend of mine knows the owner, if you are interested, i might be able to get you some discount...
