TJA chief urges reporters to evacuate from Thai-Japanese Stadium urgently
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Thai Journalists Association president Thursday issued an urgent statement, urging the media to urgently pull out their reporters from the Thai-Japanese Stadium for their own safety.

TJA chief Pradit Ruangdit reasoned that clashes between police and protesters were still going on and it was getting dark so it would not be safe for the reporters to stay covering the incident.

In the statement, Pradit said several reporters were injured in the clashes between police and protesters at the stadium and the TJA has concern for reporters who continue to cover the incident in the area to report what has been happening.

"But the TJA has assessed the situation and see that the clashes are still going on and it is getting dark so the executives of all media should order their reporters to pull out from the risk area immediately," the statement said.
