Carry on -- for what purpose?

For the Thai people?

Why not start over without any connection to Thaksin?

Why does she think she is so key?

Has she done a great job?

Did she come into the job with any significant qualifications in the first place except for nepotism?

Does their party have no purpose unless the leadership is directly connected to Thaksin?

Carry on -- for what purpose? - She is the elected Prime Minister of Thailand

For the Thai people? - Yes Over 15 million Thai people elected her party to government in the general election.

Why not start over without any connection to Thaksin? - She is his sister, she will always have a connection, you have no siblings?

Why does she think she is so key? - As acting PM she has to go ahead with the election that was called by royal decree.

Has she done a great job? - That will be for the Thai people to decide on 2nd Feb (or whenever)

Yawn.... That is about 23% of the population pushing this idiot onto the other 77% and of that 15 mil, I would say that a very good amount of them are no longer in support of Thaksin and Yingluck.

If what you suggest is true, why are the Dems, Suthep et al so scared of the ballot box?

Caretaker PM Yingluck shaken but not giving up
By Digital Content

CHIANG MAI, Dec 26 – Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra today vowed to do her best to sustain a stable political situation and delicately dealing with protesters under international standards.

She turned down a challenge by protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban for a public debate on national reform, urging the former Democrat MP and the People’s Democratic Reform Committee of which he is secretary general to discuss it in the government-initiated reform forum.

Mr Suthep on Wednesday invited Ms Yingluck to a political debate following her announcement to set up a 499-member reform assembly.

Ms Yingluck gave assurances that the reform forum, in which all civic quarters are welcome, will be neutral and the government will provide conveniences to all participants.

A reporter asked if she felt heavy-hearted and whether she could maintain the situation.

Tears brimming her eyes, Ms Yingluck said she would do her best and the government’s proposals are never too late to resolve the country’s conflicts.

She likened the situation to a rocky road on which “we have to walk for it’s the only road available.”

“It’s better than walking in the jungle though it’s a short cut,” she said.

Ms Yingluck will be staying in her native province of Chiang Mai with her family until the New Year while protesters are demonstrating at her Bangkok residence today. (MCOT online news)

There have been no live fire zones under Yingluck. More ordinary Thai people are behind her than behind those supported by the anti-democrats on this forum. Outside Bangkok and the South things look completely different.

There have been no protesters shooting grenades at the police either.

They don't fear it. I have said this before and I will say it again.

Nobody apart from one government spokesman in the past has ever hinted at the Dems being afraid of an election. Not even the PTP, Thaksin, YL or almost anyone on the other side of the political void have ever said that.

The only people who have said that over the past few weeks is TVF farangs, which clearly shows they have no idea of what is going on.

The protests will NOT end until this government are OUT and then they can reform the election processes and other aspects of politics and the judiciary. BEFORE elections take place.

Wake up and try to catch up rather than being influenced by the red rabid TVF farang and their issan wives and families.

"They don't fear it. I have said this before and I will say it again."

Well if the Dems don't fear the ballot, why have they refused to submit any candidates for the election? The only reason is that they know they can't win in a free and fair election.

I wonder if these are the same people who beat their wife's and girlfriends.

So, people who comment they can see through the lies of a woman are violent women beaters are they? Well, you surely have a weird outlook on life. No wonder we all think Red Shirt supporters are a bit odd.

Err how about a bachelors and a masters degree, both in public administration.

Answer your question???

Can you do a better job? and just what are your qualifications? w00t.gif

So that's the best Thailand can offer as PM? Do you think that's normal from no political office directly to the highest? ONLY with extreme nepotism does that kind of thing happen.

No I'm not even Thai so I could not do better as PM as Thailand. What a dumb question.

I have to say that is a bit rich JT, coming from citizen of a country that voted in G W Bush!

Things sure are different outside BKK and the South.

In the North and Northeast :

The rubber farmers are out protesting about not being paid and say they will block the main road.

Those who will be effected by the flood scheme are protesting because they have not been given a say in what is proposed.

In several places the anti-Govt protesters have been hasseling the governors.

Oh yes, and some have even taken the trouble to go to BKK to protest.

Better to walk on the road than swing throught the jungle...

This woman will go down in Thai history as the one that brought Thailand, kicking and screaming, into the modern.

And for that, she will pay a price.
